Financial Policy

At 1AmazingSmile in San Diego, we are committed to providing outstanding dental care with clear and transparent financial practices. Our goal is to help every patient understand the costs of their care and the payment options available. By receiving services from our office, you agree to the following financial policies.

1. Patient Financial Responsibility

All patients are financially responsible for the dental services they receive, regardless of insurance coverage.
Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made.

We accept cash, debit cards, major credit cards, CareCredit®, and other approved financing options.

2. Dental Insurance

Dental insurance is a contract between you and your insurance provider.
As a courtesy, we will file claims on your behalf, but please remember that benefit estimates are not guarantees of payment.

You are responsible for any portion not covered by insurance, including deductibles, co-pays, and non-covered services.

Insurance payments not received within 60 days may be billed directly to the patient.

Patients are encouraged to review their insurance policies to understand coverage limitations and maximums.

3. Treatment Plans & Estimates

Before starting any major or elective procedure—such as Invisalign®, dental implants, crowns, or cosmetic treatments—we will provide a detailed treatment plan and cost estimate.
Treatment plans may change if your clinical needs evolve or if additional services are required.

4. Payment Options

We offer flexible payment solutions to make your care affordable and convenient:

Full Payment at Time of Service: A courtesy discount may apply.

CareCredit® & Financing Plans: Subject to credit approval.

Payment Arrangements: Must be approved in writing before treatment begins.

For certain procedures, including Invisalign®, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry, partial or full payment may be required before treatment begins.

5. Outstanding Balances

Balances are due upon receipt of a statement.
Accounts not paid within 30 days may be subject to late fees and possible collection activity. Patients with unpaid balances may be asked to pay in full before scheduling additional appointments.

6. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

We understand that schedules change. To avoid fees, please provide at least 48 business hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Missed or short-notice cancellations may result in a cancellation fee.
Repeated missed appointments may require prepayment to reserve future appointments.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds for overpayments or unused treatment balances will be processed within 30 days of verification.
Refunds related to insurance will be issued only after insurance processing is complete.
Please note that payments for custom treatments—such as Invisalign® and dental implant procedures—are non-refundable once treatment has begun.

8. Legal Terms & Dispute Resolution

This Financial Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any dispute regarding payment or services will be resolved in San Diego County through arbitration or small claims court as applicable.
